Public Advisory: President’s Day Adverse Weather Event

City of Los Angeles Emergency Alert: The National Weather Service has forecast that a major storm will impact the City of Los Angeles beginning Monday, February 16, through at least Friday, February 20.  The worst of the storm is anticipated on Monday, February 16, between the hours of 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. The Los Angeles region is expected to receive 2-4 inches of rain, with 4-8 inches possible in the mountains and foothills. There is a risk of thunderstorms and debris flow across recent burn scars, where evacuation warnings are in place. Get ready for the storm and take extra precautions during the rain. Impacts in the area could include power outages, debris flows, rapidly rising water in streams and rivers, and flooding on roads and freeways.
