Campus Air Quality Index Levels (July 19th @ 11:30 AM)

The campus air quality index (AQI) is currently at 118 (orange), which is unhealthy for sensitive groups including people with heart or lung disease, older adults, pregnant women, and children affected.

 

The campus AQI matrix includes the following required actions for the following groups:

 

Athletics & Outdoor Recreation

Medical/athletic staff/outdoor recreation staff should consult with individuals who fall into the sensitive groups about participation in practice, competition, and/or outdoor events.

Outdoor Camps/Events

At higher end of range, consider moving activities indoors.  The current level of 118 is at the lower end of the orange range.

 

Pre‐K‐12

For longer activities such as athletic practice, take more breaks and do less intense activities.

 

EH&S will continue to monitor the campus AQI levels and provide this group critical updates.
