Public Advisory: Dangerous Heat Affecting the City of Los Angeles

A Heat Advisory has been issued for the City of Los Angeles beginning Tuesday, September 8 through Wednesday, September 9 at 8:00 AM.  Beginning Wednesday, September 9 at 8:00 AM, the Heat Advisory will transition to an Extreme Heat Warning, which will remain in effect through Thursday, September 10 at 8:00 PM.

Forecasted temperatures are expected to reach 92-108 degrees. Humid conditions will add to heat risk. Heat will peak on Wednesday for most areas.

During this heat event, it is important to be proactive from heat exposure. As temperatures rise, the City of Los Angeles urges Angelenos to plan and prepare to avoid heat exhaustion in your communities and for yourself.
